Hi, I’m Anne Hipskind Roberts

For over three decades, I have worked as a social worker in education, dedicated to fostering safe, inclusive school communities where students and families receive the care they need. I see education as a path to liberation and schools as potential hubs for healing and belonging. My passion for working in schools has been creating responsive, strategic, and compassionate school environments and helping individuals realize community connections, resilience, and personal growth.

In 2016, I faced a turning point—experiencing compassion fatigue, anxiety, and deep uncertainty about my efficacy. With the support of a therapist, I recognized the signs of vicarious trauma and burnout. As I paused to recalibrate, I saw a stark contrast between educators who were resilient and those of us struggling. This realization led me to create TeachWell, a movement centered on healing, safety, and well-being for all educators.

Mindfulness became a cornerstone of this journey. In 2020, I deepened my practice through the MMTCP program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Through personal loss, the pandemic, and major life transitions, mindfulness became both my anchor and my inspiration. Over the past three years, I have leaned further into this work—leading retreats, guiding personal wellness journeys, and fostering community through a monthly sangha.

Now, I step into a new chapter where my personal practices and professional expertise fully merge. With deep trust, humility, and enthusiasm, I share this next phase—integrating social work, mindfulness, and spiritual practice to support the healing of individuals and communities.
