I started TeachWell in 2017 in response to my own experience of burnout and compassion fatigue as a school-based social worker. With care and curiosity, I came to a powerful insight: the mental health and well-being of educators were being overlooked. TeachWell emerged as a strategic and compassionate response to what I recognized as an urgent need in education.
Since then, my commitment to TeachWell has become a living practice—one that continues to evolve personally and professionally. I integrate the same tools we offer educators into my own life, continually learning how values like compassion, boundaries, and self-kindness support long-term sustainability. Mindfulness, in particular, has become a guiding force in how I live and lead.
TeachWell remains a central part of my work. With our small but mighty team—Shyla and Alejandro—we partner with schools to create spaces where educators can reconnect to purpose, wellness, and community.
Our core offerings include:
Staff Development Workshops that center wellness as essential to effective teaching
School Leadership Strategy to align wellness efforts with site goals and climate needs
One-on-One Responsive Leadership Coaching for leaders seeking resilience, clarity, and deeper impact
If you're looking to bring meaningful, sustained wellness to the educators in your community, we’d love to connect.
