EMBRACING CHANGE: A NEW CHAPTER
Embracing Change: A New Chapter in My Work and Practice
Change is all around us, all the time. It's a fundamental truth woven into the fabric of life—ever-present, undeniable, and deeply human. From the turning of the Earth to the shifting of seasons, from the aging of our bodies to the quiet regeneration of our cells, everything is in constant motion. Some changes arrive with drama and intensity, others with quiet subtlety. But they always arrive.
Our relationship with change is deeply personal. Some of us seek it, some resist it, and many of us feel a mix of both—depending on our life experiences. What I’ve come to believe is that we all have the opportunity to meet change with awareness. We can soften our grip, surrender a bit, and open ourselves to new possibilities: to pivot, to innovate, to grow, to expand.
Personally, I’ve always carried a deep nostalgia. I love revisiting memories, replaying the soundtrack of my life. But that doesn’t mean I resist change. In fact, I’ve chosen change many times—big moves, new directions, and professional pivots. What unsettles me isn’t change itself but the uncertainty that swirls around it. And yet, that same uncertainty has often been the spark for creativity, inspiration, and transformation.
One of the teachings that’s guided me is the Buddhist concept of impermanence—the gentle reminder that nothing is fixed. I often think of Jack Kornfield’s story about learning to swim. He described how fear caused him to curl into a tight ball and sink. It wasn’t until he stretched out, relaxed, and let go that he began to float. That story has stayed with me. It's a beautiful metaphor for how we meet change—by relaxing, not resisting.
Similarly, my friend Stuart Sheldon’s podcast, Swan Dive, captures stories of people who’ve taken bold, heart-forward leaps into new lives of purpose and impact. I love the image of the swan dive—open arms, open heart, diving into possibility.
As I reflect on these lessons, I find myself once again standing at the threshold of change. I feel it everywhere—in the growing up of my children, my own aging, and in the evolving arc of my work. TeachWell remains a meaningful part of my journey, and I’m deeply proud of how it continues to thrive and support others.
And, something new is calling.
Over time, my meditation practice has become more than a personal anchor—it’s a way of being that I now feel compelled to share. With a full heart, I’m excited to announce an evolution in my professional offerings.
In addition to facilitation and TeachWell, I’ll now be offering:
Meditation retreats & workshops
Thought partnership & coaching
One-on-one support for personal wellness journeys
These new paths have emerged organically, shaped by years of learning, practice, and meaningful connection. I step into this new chapter with clarity, faith, and excitement—trusting that those who are meant to connect with this work will find their way to it.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I can’t wait to share what’s next.
With warmth and curiosity, Anne
